Turou!...E Komo Mai

Kia Orana and Aloha!

We are the Ezekiela family of Rarotonga, Cook Islands. Our parents, Samuela Snr and Beverly Kamomiwaiwainui Ezekiela were married in the Laie, Hawaii Temple on February 21st 1981. With 7 of us children altogether, we can easily fill up an entire row at church . When we were all living at home, everyone shared in the household chores and yardwork from the time each of us could walk. Aere mai, come and get to know us a little better- we're a warm, caring, hard working family full of ALOHA.

Names, Inoa, Ingoa...

In our family, we all have names that represent a little bit about our heritage. We are Hawaiian, Cook Island Maori, Japanese, Tahitian and a believe there's some Kiribati blood in there somewhere, but none of us carry a name from that background...perhaps a future grandchild will...who knows! :)

For now, I'll only have a few of the translations of the names and as I get more info I'll update it, but in the mean time, here's what I got.

Dad- Samuela Ezekiela Snr
Mom- Beveryly KAMOMIWAIWAINUI- Pearl of Great Price
Lisah-Marie PUNAHELE- The Favorite One
KAWAILEHUA Ann-Marie- The Dew of the Lehua Blossom
Samuel Ezekiela Jr.- names after dad
MITSUJI- TU'URA'ARI'I-
MATA- PO'OHINA'IKALUA'OPELE -
Allan KANOHOKULAKAMAKA-
Lianna-Marie HI'ILEI- The Cherished One.

There are also very fun and interesting stories behind each of our names, but you'll have to wait and see in order to find out about 'em. Trust me, it'll be worth the wait!

The MISSIONARIES

ELDER SAMUEL EZEKIELA JR.

JR is currently serving a mission in Perth, Australia. He has been called as a Zone Leader and is working really well and hard out there with his companions and the people of Perth. We hear from him often and look forward to seeing him when he's done with his mission.

ELDER MITSUJI EZEKIELA

Suji was also called to serve a mission in Australia, however, he is serving on the opposite side of the country from JR. He serves out in the Melbourne West Mission and emails and writes as often as JR does. He too will be done with his mission around the same time as JR and we all can't wait until next year to reunite with them.

Just by reading their letters and emails, we can tell that they have learned and grown so much. We are anxious to hear all their stories and experiences from their mission when they return!

They'll have so much advice to give Mata and Allan as they prepare for their missions.

MARRIED

Lisah and Paulo Purcell

Lisah married Paulo on January 16th 2009. They currently reside in North Salt Lake, Utah, about 10 minutes away from the Salt Lake Temple. No children as of yet, but they're praying for that blessing. Despite the snow and cold, they enjoy living in Utah and have had the blessing of attending in person a live General Conference session in April 2010.

Kawai & Josh Davis

On the 20th of February 2010, not too far from her own birthday and mom and dad's wedding anniversary, Kawai and Josh were married. They reside in Sydney, Australia .Work keeps them busy during the week and on the weekend they love to cruise around and spend quality time togeter.
